Tawaun Bryan's freshman career high of 19 was not enough as the Dutchess Falcons held on to beat the Mad Titans by a score of 88-80 in Poughkeepsie, NY.  The Mad Titans started out the game sluggish falling behind by double digits.  An early 3-2 zone defense by Dutchess stifled the Mad Titans as the team struggled to score from the field.  Maintaining a double digit lead late in the first half the Mad Titans started to claw back with 3 point shots by Shemar Mason and Fred Rijos.  Mason's corner 3 point basket gave the Mad Titans a 1 point lead with 2 minutes left in the half.  The Falcons then responded with a quick 8 points including 4 within the last 10 seconds of the half to regain the lead at 43-36 going into halftime.

The Mad Titans kept the game close in the early stages of the second half and tying it at 50-50 after a Salim Fofana basket.  Yet, miscues on both ends of the court, coupled with 8 straight points by Isaiah Kostyal punched the lead for Dutchess to 14 points with 6 minutes left.  The Mad Titans did not give up as they fought back to cut the lead to 82-78 with under 2 minutes left.  They were led by Joshua Been who accumulated 13 offensive rebounds on the evening.  A Dutchess turnover in the back court gave the Mad Titans the ball back but they could not convert leading to a Dutchess basket to put Dutchess up by 6 and seal the win for Dutchess.  Dutchess is now 2-3 on the season and 2-1 in Region 15.  The Mad Titans fall to 1-1 and 0-1 in Region 15.

Up next for the Mad Titans is a home contest this Tuesday at 6pm against Tuoro College.  The game will be played at Infinity Gym (100 Dobbin Street, Brooklyn, NY).
